Well we have spent the week getting settled back in at home and trying to get Reese well. She is on the up and up while Jarrod and I seem to be passing sinus crud back and forth. I tried to tell him it isn't nice to spit in other people's food but welcome to life with two guys in the house! Just kidding. I'm really hoping Juddy doesn't catch this as we both have a really big week coming up.
Last weekend we were in TN following a business trip to Atlanta. The weather was perfect - sunny and just cool enough. Papa headed out bright and early to cut some more trails - lots of guys were headed up on Saturday for a day of trail riding on our farm as well as the Thomas farm. As a side note, the Thomas farm has nothing to do with me but does belong to a wonderful family who we are fortunate to be friends with. Many thanks for letting us enjoy your beautiful farm!
The girls headed up around lunch time with snacks for all. Reese hit the ground running and immediately climbed into the Bobcat for a ride. Of course, she insisted on taking the wheel. Will she be a closet control freak like her mom? I'm working on coming out of the closet as a non control freak! The Bobcat ride was followed by a leisurely ride on Papa's dirt bike. I say leisurely so the grandparents don't panic. We really did go slow!
It was a nice weekend filled with family & friends. Juddy and Jarrod were able to catch up with the guys (it was the biggest weekend of guy fest that I've ever seen!) and I was able to have dinner with my soul sista, Lou. Mamaw & Papaw (Juddy's maternal grandparents) came up to the farm & even got a ride on the Bobcat. It filled my heart with joy to see Juddy & Jarrod relaxed & having a ball. They work so hard and are always so focused that they really needed a weekend to let loose. Thank you Lord for a safe & relaxing weekend!
