Sunshine

We finally have sunshine in NC! Woop woop! We have had more rain, cloudy skies and utter dreariness for months. I'm not complaining as I know many have had it worse. But I'm a FL girl and this FL girl LOVES the sun. Let the sun shine...

We had a good weekend. Friday night Papa and I were scheduled for a date night. Yes, now that we have a baby and more work on our hands than hours in the day we schedule date night. Instead of the traditional dinner, Juddy thought it would be nice to mix it up a bit. We ordered take out and headed for the beach. Can you believe we've never had a picinic on the beach and we've lived at the beach for 3 years?! It was awesome! We had yummy food and wine and we were home by 9:30. Are we getting old?

Saturday we took Reese to a kid's "art festival" at Mayfair. It was not so "artsy". There were no art booths as described but there was a giant blow up slide. Reese & Papa gave it a whirl!

Sunday was perfect! Lots of sun, lots of warmth, church, lunch downtown, loads of family time and just warm fuzzy feelings for all! Yesterday Mike started a new series on worship called Amazed. I'm so excited about this series! Many think of worship as singing to God, and believe me singing is worship, but there are other ways in which to worship. For those of you who want to keep up you can click this link and watch the sermon each week: http://www.portcitychurch.org/weekendcurrentseries.php.

Today was the Easter party at Reese's preschool. Our little bunny participated in her first Easter egg hunt. She had no idea what to do so after she found one egg, she thought it was the mother load, mission accomplished! She spent the rest of the time playing on the playground. She is such a joy!

I'm thankful for the time we had together this weekend and for good health. I'm really looking forward to working hard all week so we can play just as hard this weekend.
