Reese has become a fan of talking on the phone - surprise, surprise! Her Papa & I are always working...on the phone. Maybe she thinks it's fun.
Today Poppy called to give me the drill about the airport tomorrow (Pie and I are spending a quick weekend in FL). Of course Reese said "I talk Poppy". She takes the phone and walks all over the house while "talking" to Poppy. She told him she wanted pizza, she wanted to go swimmy, where's Lleyton, TYCEN, etc. When it was time to relieve Poppy, Reese ran around the "loop" to keep the phone away from me. The belly laughs were hysterical! So much so I couldn't catch her! She made her way to my closet where she tried to hide under the bottom rack of clothes.
Once off the phone with Poppy she immediately said "I call Nana". In her mind Nana & Poppy go together like PB&J. There isn't one without the other. So we call Nana and the same thing ensues. This time I got it on camera - absolutley hysterical!

1st Day of School
Yep, it's that time of year - today was Reese's first day of preschool for the 2009/2010 school year. She is so grown up I could cry and have! We went to orientation last week and her teachers couldn't belive how much she'd grown, matured and grown some more!
Last year when I walked her in for the first time, she clung tightly to my neck. She sheepishly went to Mrs. Edie who in turn held her for most of the day. When I picked her up 45 minutes early, she was ready for snuggles and a nap. In the days that followed, she would boo hoo when I left and zip to the door the second they told her I was there to pick her up. It took weeks for her to get acclimated but once she did, it was a breeze. She was so tiny last year - 15 months old in a class full of two going on three year olds. She couldn't get in the chair by herself, or color on her own or say much more than "mommy" & "daddy".
This year is a whole new ball game. Not only was she super excited about going to school (at least for a little while), she had the routine down pat. We started with breakfast followed by a quick wash up and a fight to put her clothes on (she'd rather be in a diaper only). We finally made it to the car where she snuggled her bear and nunny and asked for Parker (her friend from last year) the whole way to school. I pulled in, got her out of her seat and she took off! She only turned back to carry her bag, for 30 seconds of course, and marched right into her classroom. She didn't even look back over her shoulder. I couldn't belive it! Where did my little Reese Pie go?!
I'm so proud of her and happy for her that she feels confident, she knows the drill & is comfortable with it. And I'm so sad that our little girl is growing so quickly - the moments rush by and so many of them are missed in the hustle and bustle. I don't wish for a redo or to turn back time but I do wish life would slow down. I treasure each silly moment and am thankful the crying doesn't last long. I'm going to hold on tight and ride this roller coaster with eyes wide open so I don't miss a thing!
For some humor, here is how our morning progressed.
Breakfast of champions - waffles, bananas & milk
You want me to say cheese?
No way - absolutely not!
Did you say there was a bear & nunny in the car?
Ah yes, the playground...my heaven on earth!
C'mon mom, don't forget the bag
Nevermind, I'll get it myself!

Recent Happenings!
Hello! We haven't fallen off the face of the earth we've just been all over the place. With Judd doing it up big in Knoxville and me getting ready for fall wedding season, we can't seem to be in one place for long.
We have been back and forth to Knoxville, Bristol, Lakeland, Knoxville, Bristol & back to Lakeland this weekend. All in that order! Some has been work and some has been play. Reese has done great with all the moving and shaking - I think she likes it!
She is growing and changing so much. She is putting together sentences, counting, ABC's, dancing, laughing, sassing and just having a good time! She is such a light and joy. She and I have been holding down the fort when we can't travel with Judd. After this weekend we are home bound until the holidays while Judd makes the trek back and forth to Knoxville. I hope Reese and I survive each other!
And I'm sure this is what you all have been waiting for - the pictures!
Playing ghost - she walks around saying "woooo woooo"
The box is the "house" she made for herself. She was adding all kinds of accessories.
Playing in the rain in her diaper - what else is new?
Her 1st juice box - normally it goes in the sippy cup
A wholelotta cuteness - story time
Working on her "puter"
Riding with Papa
Riding what will be her 1st motorcyle in another year or so
Doing it all by herself - scary!
