We spent the weekend in Atlanta with Nana & Poppy - fantastic! We all decided, long before we got to Atlanta, that win or lose (the Gators of course) we were going to have a great weekend. Time with family is priceless!
The city was freezing but beautiful. I love that place and had such a wonderful 3 years there right out of college. Mom and I did some quick shopping as soon as we arrived and Poppy got some QT with Reese. They were all over the place and I think she may have worn him out!
Gameday arrived and we were super excited! We all bundled up and jumped on Marta to head downtown. We spent several hours visiting with friends, riding the glass elevator with Reese and just enjoying being together. The game was....bittersweet. It was electric to be there. Our seats were amazing. The game started and the Gators just weren't in it. Ultimately we lost; we were outplayed. Even the greatest of champions will lose at some point.
On our way home, Reese & I stopped to see my long time friend John. He lives in Athens - best downtown ever. It was a wonderful weekend and so good to see Mom & Poppy!
Elf on the Shelf - if you haven't heard of it, check it out!
Here he is!
